This is a page to input an entry into the list of makers with work to sell.
If you would like to be included, please fill in the form below. There are explanations of each input below the form if anything isn’t clear.
This list is likely to be mostly ceramic work, but I’m happy to have non-ceramic makers too. The only requirements are that you have a online shop with work available to order (at the time you fill the form in). You don’t have to be a full time/professional maker but work should be of a quality that you’re comfortable selling online. There are no requirements for what country you’re based in, but the majority of the audience will be in the US/Canada/UK
The goal with this is to have an easily browsable list of makers who are interested in finding new customers, and who have work ready to buy. I will turn each completed entry into its own listing on a page where potential customers can view everything and click through to your shop to purchase. This is completely free for both you and the customer, I’m doing it because it should benefit everyone and costs me only time I would have wasted otherwise. I won’t be curating the list other than removing any entries that are unsuitable or incorrectly filled in.
Please make sure you fill this in correctly before submitting. I won’t be editing as I upload, and most mistakes will only be correctable by deleting your listing and starting over. I won’t upload entries that have major errors, such as an unsuitable website URL.
Business Name: The name you would be recognised by. This will be used for the title and URL of your page
Shop URL: This is a direct link to your shop. It could be an Etsy page, or your own website. This is where people will be sent if they click through, so please make sure the URL is correct and takes them to a sensible page.
Instagram URL: If you have an Instagram account and want people to be able to click through to it, put the full link here
Country You’re Based In: I’m happy to include makers from all over the world, but customers might be looking for things made locally to keep shipping costs down. I’ll see about making this a filter for the main listing page, so please use the same wording as the box below if you’re in the USA, UK, or Canada.
Countries You’ll Ship To: This is a limited list based on the audience I expect given my (and Instagram’s) demographics. I apologise for how North American centric it is, but I want it to be a filter and don’t want to have too many options.
Price Ranges: Tick all that apply to the pieces you have ready to send. These will be a filter to help people find pieces in the right price range for what they need.
Type of Shop Platform: Some people wanted to be able to filter by whether makers were using platforms with review systems like Etsy or Folksy.
Describe Your Work: Just a few sentences to give the viewer a brief overview of you and the kind of work you make.
Image URLs: This is the most important thing to get right! I need DIRECT image URLs. They should end in .jpg or .png (or other viable image types). If you are in any doubt whatsoever about whether your links are suitable, please try uploading your images to a site like Imgur and getting the DIRECT links (not Image link) from there. Some platforms don’t give direct links easily, so don’t trust that just because it looked like an image and you clicked ‘Copy Image Address’ that you actually have the correct link.
This is what your individual page will look like when this form is filled in correctly.
