The unique design of these mugs comes from the clay itself, rather than a glaze. I use liquid clay (called slip, hence the name), marbled with several colourants on the outside of the piece. This is applied thickly and, with a little encouragement, will flow down to created the colourful drips. The handle is pressed into the slip at this point. Once dry, the slip permanently fuses with the rest of the clay to become solid. I glaze the slip with a clear glossy glaze to bring the colours out.

The default designs are taller, narrower pieces. If you’d prefer a shorter and wider cup shape, let me know.

• Small holds approximately 250ml (~8oz).

• Medium holds approximately 350ml (~12oz).

• Large holds approximately 450ml (~15oz).

• Giant holds approximately 550ml (~18oz)!

• The Mug option comes with a handle, the Tumbler option does not have a handle

Standard pieces are made to order, so will usually take between 2-8 weeks to produce. The time taken to produce will depend on the number of orders I already have, the clay I’m currently throwing in (I try to keep the light and dark clays separate to avoid contamination), and whether the order works first time (they usually do, but there are no guarantees with clay).
